Joel’s Listing Agent Checklist
In 2017, at the request of a number of selling agents, I drafted Joel’s Selling Agent Checklist. I believe it was well received by all. At that time it was my intention to also draft a listing agent checklist. Well . . . approximately two years later I have finally completed that checklist. It was true in 2017, and still true today, that a single real estate transaction has so many moving parts and no one closing is the same. One of the single most important attributes of a successful Realtor is organization. While many of you have certain procedures in place to ensure you are organized, I wanted to offer a new tool for you to use.
I am pleased to present my Listing Agent Checklist. This checklist takes into account the most important issues that you will commonly encounter in connection with a closing from the listing agent’s perspective. I have also included certain issues that may not come up that often, but when they do can create a multitude of issues if not addressed properly.
For those of you who already have a checklist, hopefully this one can be used as a supplement to ensure that no issue is missed. For your convenience, you can print the checklist off and include it in your folder for each closing or it is also available in a downloadable pdf format that will allow you to type in the answers. I hope you find this new resource helpful as you continue crushing 2019 and beyond.
